Artist Statement

I am a New York City based potter residing in Queens. I have been working with clay for 15 years. I have a background in painting and in many of my pieces, using a brush becomes as important to me as the formation of the actual three-dimentional piece.

At the first touch and feel of clay, I was immediately both curious and awestruck at all the possibilies that clay could provide. The transformation from clay into an object of art or function is limitless and its endless creations provide constant surprises for me.

I have taught beginning wheel throwing and I exhibit my work in galleries and craft shows and always look forward to meeting people who are interested in how I work and the materials I use for creating a piece. I welcome your comments and thank you for your interest.
